What to Expect on Sunday
During the summer (beginning June 9th) we have one service at 10:00am on Sundays on the second floor of the Ecotrust Building (721 NW Ninth Ave.) in the Pearl District. When you arrive, a greeter will welcome you. We offer programs for kids and youth; if you have kids (infants through sixth grade), we'll get them checked in for Pearl Kids. You'll then enter our sanctuary and find a bulletin on your seat.
Our services follow a weekly structure: greeting each other, singing a mix of contemporary songs and ancient hymns, responsively reading communal liturgy, being led through a Psalm by a cantor, hearing scripture read, listening to a sermon, and participating in Eucharist together. When the service is over, you're welcome to stick around to talk with others in attendance. You can also learn more about Pearl Church at our welcome table right outside the sanctuary.
All are welcome to worship and fully belong at Pearl Church regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socioeconomic, or marital status.
