Open Groups
Our open groups are available for anyone to jump into, at any time. They don’t require a commitment, and are a great way to get connected at Pearl Church when you are new. Some groups offer a way to learn more at Pearl and discuss the weekly sermons, while others focus on contemplative practice. These groups are hybrid, alternating weekly between in-person and online via Zoom.
Wednesday Open Group
Wednesdays at 7pm; 1st and 3rd weeks via Zoom, 2nd and 4th weeks in person.
This group is facilitated by Pastor Mike Roth, and is open to anyone to jump into as often as they can make it. Discussions focus on the weekly sermon and creating a space to get to know others at Pearl Church. This is a great option for anyone who is new to our community!
Centering Practice Group
Mondays at 7pm, 1st Monday in person, 3rd Monday via Zoom
This group is an open space for anyone interested in the practice of Centering Prayer—a silent form of meditation. We meet in person at the Ecotrust building on the 1st Monday of each month, and by Zoom on the 3rd Monday of each month. All are welcome, including beginners to meditation practices.
Listening Circles Group
Mondays at 7pm, 2nd Monday via Zoom, 4th Monday in person
This open group aims to create a quiet, sacred space for us to listen for the still, small voice within us. Using a contemplative text from various spiritual traditions and poets, we listen within and to one another with compassion and support. These groups follow the guidelines created by Parker Palmer for "Circles of Trust". Anyone is welcome to join us. The 2nd Monday we meet over Zoom, and 4th Sundays we meet in person at the Ecotrust building.
