Connecting Events

At Pearl Church, we aim to extend a Common Table where all can belong, which expresses our value of Inclusion. While our community deeply resonates with this value, we also know that in a growing church, Inclusion must be intentionally practiced as we find ways to make room for more people to join our Common Table.

Connecting events aim to provide enjoyable, accessible ways for newcomers and long-time members alike to find community through shared interests and life stages. Offered regularly throughout the year, these are primarily social events that create the opportunity to develop connections with others at Pearl.

Some Connecting events form around a shared interest or hobby (for example, hiking, wine or whiskey tasting, bake-off competitions, etc.). Others can form around life- stages or experiences (for example, families, LGBTQIA+ community, young professionals, etc.). These interests and life-stages provide a natural connecting point by which we express, “There’s room for you at this table, you fit in here!”
