Book Discussion— A Selection of Flannery O’Connor’s Short Stories

Considered one of the best short story authors of the 20th century, Flannery O’Connor’s genre—southern Christian gothic—is dark, humorous, scathing, and illuminating. Her stories highlight religious and societal hypocrisy, and they encourage a reckoning with our own hypocrisy so that we might grow into more whole and compassionate human beings. The selection of short stories for this discussion includes: “The Turkey,” “A Good Man is Hard to Find,” “Good Country People,” “The Comfort of Home,” and “Revelation.” Questions?
