Short term Missions: Taking a New Direction

Why short term missions?  At Pearl we believe that God has blessed each of us with different experiences and skills and that we all should be involved in fulfilling the great commission regardless of our vocation.  We believe that each person that is a part of the Pearl Church should regularly be seeking ways to love their neighbor and make disciples of all peoples…both locally and globally.  In addition to these regular acts of kingdom building, the Outreach Team seeks to integrate short-term missions experiences into the lives of the members of the body.
The purpose of short term missions is to:

• Increase the body’s understanding of global faith issues (Vision Building Trips)
  
• Support Pearl’s partner missionaries (Missionary Encouragement Trips)
  
• Encourage Pearl’s body to use their skills to help those in need (Capacity Building Trips)
