Two Services Easter Sunday!
Sunday, April 1, 9:15 and 10:45 a.m.
We will hold two services on Easter Sunday, one at 9:15 a.m. and another at 10:45 a.m. Our regular kids' program will be offered at the 9:15 a.m. service. The 10:45 a.m. service will be identical in content, but will not offer a kids' program or child care. We encourage those who do not have kids to consider joining the second service, as we anticipate the first service to be more heavily attended.
Flowering the Cross
As you arrive for Easter on Sunday, April 1, there will be a flowering cross located in front of the main doors of Ecotrust. We invite you to bring freshly cut flowers to place on this cross. The contrast between the barren altar that you have observed throughout Lent and the living flowering cross that you will see as you enter into church for worship will be a welcome sight that helps to prepare our hearts for celebrating "new life" in Christ.
Contemplative Prayer Class
Silence, stillness, and solitude are three foundational elements of contemplative spirituality that are in short supply in our current culture. Our hyper-connectivity has created a poverty of presence, where it is hard to be present to ourselves, to others, and to God. This lack of presence leaves us feeling more disconnected than ever. Intentional silence, stillness, and solitude of the heart, mind, and body are the counterbalance for the poverty of presence we experience. You are invited to join Mindy Durias Monday nights in March from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Asa Flats (1200 NW Marshall St.), to learn about the rich Christian Contemplative Prayer tradition that seeks to cultivate inner silence, stillness, and solitude. Space is limited to 8 people. Interested? Email to secure your spot.
